Welcome to 2011!
I can hardly believe it’s been a whole year since theBABY followed me with her eyes across the room for the first time. That was an amazing New Year’s Day gift last year. Something I’ll never forget.
Now she’s a year older and a year cuter. She’s saying things like “Up, please” and “all done!” She’s running around opening cupboard doors, reminding me the oven is hot and dancing to Yo Gabba Gabba.
Did I mention she’s darn cute, too?
Yes, she’s a constant reminder that time keeps moving forward. A reminder that I don’t want to be in the same place I was last year. I should be growing and maturing, too.
I’m turning 30 this year for goodness’ sake!
So last night I sat down and made a list of my goals for this year. Some of them are pretty big. And others? Well, others are not so big. The point is, I’ve made them. I have a plan to move forward, to improve, to mature.
No resolutions for me this year. Goals instead – financial goals, relational goals, spiritual goals, career goals and fitness goals.
Do you have any goals for 2011? If not, why not make one. Big or small. Set one goal to accomplish in this new year. Go for it!
