A few weeks ago I discovered these Strawberry Shortcake Rice Krispie Treats on Pinterest. That very week, angel food cake went on sale at my grocery store, so I had no excuses.
I followed her recipe for the Rice Krispie treats (except I like to melt my butter and marshmallows on the stove) but I never got around to making the topping.
Why?
Because they were gone before I had the chance.
So mine turned into plain ol’ Angel Food Cake Rice Krispie Treats.
I did stuff a strawberry in my mouth with my last one, and I could tell these would be even better served the way they were intended!
Next time I will make a double batch so they last long enough to actually serve with strawberries.

Didn’t answer your question… You will sample my orzo salad and adult root beer on Saturday! Both are fab!! Also one board is a chicken that is amazing! Has honey and spices… I can’t remember what it’s called!!
