I had to go back and check to make sure, but just as I thought – I haven’t written anything yet this week!
Looks like I better take my own advice and find five minutes to think about the past week and jot a few things down.
In the meantime, here’s a little encouragement for those of you who, like me, haven’t written this week.
If you started Project WriteItDown strong, but find yourself struggling to find time to write or maybe you’re just not interested anymore (hey, I get it…buying the journal and Sharpie pens can feel like the best part!), let me encourage you. This isn’t about writing just to write. It’s about capturing life, thoughts, emotions that you don’t want to forget. Some weeks you may not have that “I need to write this down” moment.
And that’s OK!
The point is to actually have a journal to write in and to remember to write when inspiration does come!
Just don’t let the lack of inspiration keep you from writing for too long. Once you fall out of the habit, it takes a lot of effort to start again!
I’m off to set my timer for five minutes and do some writing. Who’s with me??
